Instructions:

1. Your pictures can remain in the albums. You can use Post-it-Note dots to mark the photos to be scanned. It's a good idea to number the photos for reference purposes.

2. If you want name plates on particular photos, use a separate piece of paper to list the photo # and names (always left to right, top to bottom).

3. If you want to have menu options for specific groups of photos (decades, special events, etc.), list the event title and the corresponding photo #'s.

a. The best thing to do is open your word processing software and type the information you wish to appear on your title pages. Be sure to note the name of the font you use, so it can be duplicated by the production staff.

4. If many songs are used, and you are providing the music, you must note the appropriate track #s, as well as where (in the photo array) you want the songs to begin and end.

5. If you have damaged, discolored or faded photos that you wish us to repair/restore, attach notes to them stating this.

Photos are displayed on the screen for 3 seconds. It sounds short, until you're watching an hour of photos! Remember, you can pause a DVD for as long as you wish with no distortion.

Yes, there is some prep work before we can begin your project, but the end result is certainly worth the effort. You are creating a timeless memorial for your family/friends that will be greatly admired and appreciated. If you set aside a small amount of time every day, you will be ready before you know it and the task won’t seem so overwhelming.
